ABOUT MICHAELA
I'm Michaela - a wedding and lifestyle photographer based in Minneapolis, MN. I didn’t always know I’d be a wedding photographer—but looking back, the signs were there. I’ve had a camera in hand for most of my life, capturing the quiet in-between moments and the loud, joyful ones too. In 2018, I photographed my first couple, and everything clicked. That “side hustle” quickly became the thing I couldn't stop thinking about.
Since then, I’ve had the privilege of learning from some of the best, refining my craft, and building Michaela Lee Photos—a business rooted in connection, real emotion, and trust.
I’m not here to pose you into something you’re not. I’m here to create space for the real you to show up. Whether that means cracking jokes to calm the nerves, chasing golden hour light, or simply stepping back so you can soak in the moment—I’ve got you. Because your story deserves to be remembered just as it felt: honest, beautiful, and entirely yours.

INVESTMENT
We got married in July of 2023 at Glacier National Park with 15 of our closest friends and family members. This has provided us with a fresh outlook on weddings, enabling us to comprehend the unique journey each of our couples embarks on during their wedding preparations and actual experience.

MY STYLE IS
We recently welcomed our first baby girl, Haven, and she has completely changed our world in the most beautiful way. Becoming parents has been the greatest joy, and watching Zach step into fatherhood has made me fall in love with him all over again. Our days are now filled with sweet snuggles, baby giggles, and moments we’ll never forget.
As a family, we love watching our favorite shows, going on long walks, sneaking away for coffee dates, and dreaming up our next adventure together. Traveling has always been something we’ve loved, and now we get to share that joy with Haven by our side.
And of course — with me being a photographer — Haven is always my little model. Whether she’s wrapped up in cozy blankets at home or joining us on a beach adventure, I can’t help but capture every little moment. She inspires me daily.
